Sands FFA Family Fun Night
Washer Touranment April 27th @ 4:30pm

Washers Tournament Rules:

·         Teams will have 2 members.

·         Double-elimination tournament

·         Boxes are 12ft apart

·         The team that scores 21 points is the winning team

·         The team that scores over 21 points is a “bust” and will fall back to 11 points

·         Player must remain on the box during toss

Scoring:

1st Cup = 1 point

2nd Cup = 3 points

3rd Cup = 5 points

*Any team member that lands all 3 washers in each one of the 3 cups wins the game

*Leaners do not count as points

*Washers landing on top of the box do not count as points

Cancellation of Points:

Players can cancel out their opponent’s points!  For example, Player A has landed a washer in the 2nd cup and scores 3 points.  Player B is pitching his washers and lands a washer on top of Player A’s washer.  The points cancel each other out and either teams score points.  i.e. Player A(throwing first) has (1) washer in the 2nd cup and Player B (throwing second) does the same thing. The washer has to land in the same cup to cancel points.

Exceptions:

• Player B cancels Player A with the first two throws and then hits a cup throw or a box throw resulting in points for Player B

• Player A has more accumulated points on a throw than Player B has cancelled, resulting in points for Player A, and vice versa.
